Another Day in Paradise
Have you ever thought it would be great to stay at home and do absolutely nothing?! I have always dreamed of it. We'll I'm in day 9 of just that and........it's BORING!!! I thought I would've been able to sew, or scrapbook or stamp. It's just not working that way.
I have been showered with care by Bob, friends from church and friends from work. Bob's barely had to cook! We've had some delicious food including desserts. That's Evan's favorite part!
I want to be more productive tomorrow. I am going to plan to do SOMETHING! Even if it's just a little bit of stamping. I am in deseparate need of thank you cards.

Surgery
Wow! It's been forever since I blogged! I had surgery last Monday (11/1/10). The first 4 days were horrible, but it's getting better now. I had my first full cast put on today. Next week, I'll get another cast as well as have my 13 staples taken out.
I truly thought I was going to be able to scrapbook, stamp and/or sew by last Thursday. WHAT A JOKE!! Maybe this week.
Here's my lovely foot:

Writing in the Blog
Man! I really stink at this keeping my blog up! I'm in a creative slump right now, too. I have 2 swaps I need to get ready for so I need to get out of the slump.
Spring semester is done at Columbia College. WOOHOO! It was a rough semester - I took 3 classes. Between the 3 classes, working at BCBSSC, directing 2 Handbell Choirs at Living Springs Lutheran Church, Audrey's soccer games and Evan's baseball games. I was exhausted by the end of the semester.
I met my sisters Pam Deselem and Louella McElhaney, cousins Jo Donaldson and Dee Swager, my mom (Penny Harmer) and my Aunt June Perkins in Virginia a couple of weeks ago. It was a great time. We decided we needed to have an annual event of getting together. Did you know Blacksburg, Viriginia has a 'Fork and Cork Festival'? All the local vineyards were there - and each had around 6 wines to test. What a great time!! Wine and family - not whine and family like when my kids are involved.
We said good-bye to a special lady today, Alma Brantley. She died last Wednesday. It was a great - although long - service. It wouldn't have seemed so long if it wasn't so dang hot in the church. But she deserved a great send off and I think it was fitting.
I'll try to be better at updating my blog. Have a great week!

Finally an update!
It has been awhile since I've done a post! I am so busy. Between work, school and the handbell choir it seems I'm always doing something.
The scrapbook pages below are some of the ones I did at a weekend retreat. I had a great time, thanks to Sue Matthews. And I met and made some great new scrapbooking friends.
The cards are from a Saturday Wendy McKenzie and Kathy Brennan came over. We decided to get together to make some cards. We are going to do it again. It was fun. Bob made us dinner. Next time, Audrey's making us lasagna! I have a great husband and kids!!
I hope you enjoy my post!
Pictures from Christmas decorating, the house, the Christmas ducks and Christmas morning.
